Stainless steel tube rolls are mainly made of various types of stainless steel materials, with specific selections based on application scenarios, corrosion resistance requirements, temperature conditions and mechanical performance needs. The common materials are as follows:
304 stainless steel: It is the most widely used basic material, containing about 18% chromium and 8% nickel. It has excellent oxidation resistance and moderate acid-alkali resistance, and is suitable for industries with strict hygiene requirements such as food processing and pharmaceutical manufacturing, as well as general industrial scenarios. Its smooth surface can reduce material residue and meet relevant regulatory standards.
316L stainless steel: By adding molybdenum, it has enhanced resistance to chloride corrosion, making it suitable for harsh environments such as chemical raw material transportation, seawater desalination systems and salt spray environments. It also has good low-temperature toughness and can maintain stable performance in outdoor operations in cold areas.
Duplex stainless steel (e.g., 2205): It combines the advantages of austenitic and ferritic dual-phase structures, with high strength, good toughness and excellent welding performance. It is suitable for extreme working conditions such as oil refineries and paper mills, which have both high temperature and strong corrosion, and can effectively resist the erosion of harmful gases and chemical substances.
Super austenitic stainless steel (e.g., 904L): It has an extremely high ratio of chromium and nickel, plus an appropriate amount of rare metal elements, giving it superior corrosion resistance and high-temperature stability. It is ideal for harsh working conditions such as alkali production processes that face strong acid media.
High-temperature resistant stainless steel (e.g., 310S): Also known as 2520 stainless steel, it is an austenitic chromium-nickel high-alloy stainless steel with high chromium (24%-26%) and nickel (19%-22%) content. It has excellent high-temperature resistance, can work continuously at 1150℃, and is suitable for high-temperature furnace rolls and other scenarios.
In addition, for some special functional requirements, stainless steel tube rolls may also use alloy materials such as Cr12MoV, SKD11 and 9Cr2MoV to improve wear resistance and mechanical strength, which are widely used in rolling and forming processes of stainless steel tubes.
